Darbhangaa, May 15 (UNI) Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi will attend a students' dialogue programme at Town Hall in Bihar's Darbhanga on Thursday.

In a late-night move, the district administration granted permission for the programme only after the venue was changed from Ambedkar Welfare Hostel to Town Hall.

The release issued by the deputy director Information and Public Relations Department said the permission for conducting the dialogue was being granted following a change in the venue of the event.

The release said that the programme would now be held at Town Hall for which the permission has been given.

Earlier the district administration had refused permission to Gandhi for the student dialogue programme which was to be held at Ambedkar Kalyan Hostel, Mogalpura.

The national secretary of the National Student Union of India (NSUI) Mohammad Sadab Akhtar had written to the administration seeking permission to hold the event at Ambedkar Kalyan Hostel.

Preparations for the event were almost complete, but the administration suddenly refused permission late Wednesday.
