Agartala, May 15 (UNI) Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Thursday sought the intervention of the Ministry of Development of Northeastern Region (DoNER) on issues related to the state's interests, especially for the setting up of AIIMS in the state, and has drawn the attention of DoNER Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.
The second high-level meeting of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DONER) was held under the chairmanship of Union Donor Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.
During discussion in the meeting, Dr Saha sought the cooperation of the DoNER Ministry in various matters related to the state's interests, including starting international flight services from the MBB airport, declaring the Gymnasium Academy in the state as the National Gymnast Academy, taking necessary steps for the development of the NH-06 road, and giving concessions in the price of natural gas.
The Chief Minister also mentioned the government's approach to encourage entrepreneurs to set up industries in the state by developing a skilled workforce.
In the meeting, he also mentioned that necessary steps will be taken to accelerate the work of infrastructure development projects implemented in the state, and the state's GSDP and per capita income have increased significantly.
The Chief Minister mentioned in detail the steps taken by the North Eastern states, given the decisions taken in the first meeting of the High-Level Task Force.
He highlighted the inclusion of the attractive tourist centre of the state in the tourism circuit of the North Eastern region.
