Jaipur, May 5 (UNI) Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari said the state government is committed to taking tourism to new heights and providing better opportunities for employment and trade to all sections of society through tourism.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony of the Great Indian Travel Bazaar 2025 on Sunday, the Deputy CM highlighted that Rajasthan has immense potential for tourism, including traditional, rural, wildlife, and new city tourism.
She further said that tourism is not just a means of business but a way to share the state's culture and rich history with the world.
She emphasised that the state government is committed to developing infrastructure for tourism, including new roads, highways, railway networks, and airports.
The Deputy Chief Minister invited foreign guests to visit Rajasthan in large numbers, expressing hope that the state will see a surge in foreign tourist arrivals like before the Covid-19 pandemic.
She also announced plans to develop a Rajasthan Mandapam on the lines of Bharat Mandapam, which will showcase the state's grandeur and culture.
The three-day event is expected to host 11,000 B2B meetings, providing a platform for international buyers and Indian sellers to strengthen trade relations and explore new opportunities in tourism.
Central Minister of Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat was also present on the occasion.
