Rajasthan emerging as a prime conference destination: Dy CM Diya Kumari

Jaipur, May 4 (UNI) Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari on Sunday said the state is emerging as a conference destination, and credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi's initiatives like Make in India for the transformation.
"Rajasthan is no longer just a place to visit, but an ideal destination for international conferences, business meetings, cultural fairs, and global events," Diya Kumari said during her speech at the inaugural ceremony of the 'Meet in India Conclave' here.
The conclave is part of the 14th edition of 'The Great Indian Travel Bazaar', organised jointly by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, Rajasthan Tourism Department, and business body FICCI.

She highlighted the vast potential of Rajasthan's tourism sector and its rich cultural heritage, saying that the state is known not only for its grand forts and palaces but also for its centuries-old craftsmanship, soulful folk music, timeless architecture, and vibrant cultural traditions. She added that Rajasthan is set to become the number one state for conferences and events.

The Deputy Chief Minister expressed gratitude to PM Modi, saying that his vision has led to initiatives like 'Meet in India'. She also mentioned that the Rajasthan Mandapam will soon be launched, and concert tourism facilities will create more opportunities in the state with better infrastructure. UNI XC AKT SSP
