Rajasthan: Woman, two children die after drowning in pond

Karauli, May 11 (UNI) A woman and her two children drowned in a pond in Rajasthan's Karauli district, police said on Sunday.



Police sources said four members of the the family, who were victims of the mishap, had come from Chandigarh to attend a marriage ceremony in Ronsi village. They went to Mede Ka Bandh in Ronsi village on Saturday evening, where they drowned in the pond while taking a bath.



Upon getting the information, local villagers rushed to the spot and pulled them out of the water. They were taken to the hospital, where doctors declared Kajal, her daughter Rani (12), and Virat Pacherwal (10) dead. Sonia, Kajal's third daughter, is stated to be serious. UNI XC AKT SSP
