Revamp educational system for all-round development, says Kerala Governor

Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 25 (UNI) All-round development of the people can be achieved only by revamping the educational system, Kerala Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar said on Tuesday.
The New Educational Policy is a concerted attempt to decolonialise the new generation and set the tone for a self-reliant India, the Governor said while inaugurating the Youth Parliament Festival, organised by the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, at Lakshmibai National College of Physical Education (Sports Authority of India).
Exhorting the youths in the country to make the vision of a developed nation a reality, he said ‘Viksit Bharat’ or developed India is a more holistic one, involving social and spiritual dimensions of people and not merely an economic concept alone.
The Governor recalled the call given by the Prime Minister to create one lakh youth leaders in the Country.
The Governor said 'Viksit Bharat' and ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ are related concepts and real development can only be achieved when individuals excel (become Shreshta) in their respective fields.
The National Youth Parliament Festival (NYPF) has been organised annually since 2019 to provide a platform for young voices in India. This year, the National Youth Parliament Festival has been re-imagined as the Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament, aligning with the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047. UNI DS XC SSP
