Road Construction Minister directs authorities concerned to repair all damaged roads by May 30

Patna, May 14 (UNI) Bihar Road construction Minister Nitin Navin directed the authorities concerned to repair the roads of Patna by May 30, damaged during the execution of various projects.
The Minister reviewed the condition of the roads damaged during the execution of the projects of different departments and agencies in a joint meeting with the representatives of the departments, including road construction, Urban Development and Housing, and BUDCO here on Tuesday and gave clear cut instructions to complete the damaged roads within the specified period.
Navin said that any delay in the repair of the damaged roads would not be spared at any cost and also directed the authorities to ensure covering the open manholes and filling up of the ditches immediately for the safety of the common people.
Keeping in mind the condition of roads during monsoon and the convenience of citizens, the Minister directed that no new work should be started after May 30, which involves digging or damaging roads.
In the meeting, all the agencies of the Urban Development and Housing Department were directed that the roads damaged while laying the pipeline and needed repair should be handed over to the Road Construction Department by May 25, so that it can complete the repair work of these roads by June 5.
In the meeting, the Minister was apprised that 12.787 Km long roads have so far been repaired.
The Minister directed the departments to work in tandem for the speedy completion of the repair work.
