Moscow, Apr 16 (UNI) Russia is ready to work together with Latin American countries to expand cooperation in a number of key areas, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said.
"The potential of Russian-Latin American relations, which are developing on a pragmatic, mutually beneficial, de-ideologized basis, is truly large-scale. We are ready to work together to expand them in the political, trade and investment, scientific and technological, cultural, humanitarian, educational, and sports areas," Lavrov said at the opening of the "Jubilee Year: from Mexico to Argentina" exhibition on Tuesday.
We are managing to ensure the progressive development of cooperation in a wide range of areas with our partners, the minister noted.
Lavrov also expressed gratitude to Latin American countries for their firm position in the international arena when considering initiatives on the inadmissibility of the glorification of Nazism and the falsification of history.
