Shiv Sena Mahila Aghadi holds award function for women in Dharashiv

Dharashiv, Apr 4 (UNI) Shiv Sena (Shinde) group leader Neelam Gorhe said today that the Durgashakti Mahila Samman (award for women) was organized by the Shiv Sena Mahila Aghadi in Dharashiv to make women financially stronger and independent.

She announced a fund of Rs 25 lakh from the MLA quota for women's self-help group empowerment.
A large number of women, including Shiv Sena workers from Solapur district, Dharashiv, Latur and other talukas, participated in the rally.

Addressing to gathering, Gorhe, who is deputy Chairperson of the Maharashtra Legislative Council, informed the gathering about the various government schemes for women.

Shiv Sena District Chief Suraj Salunkhe, Senior Office Bearer Shubhangi Nandgaonkar and Sangeeta Chavan organized the program.

Financial independence is very important for women's empowerment, and for this it is necessary to encourage women's self-help groups, said Gorhe.

She said that concrete efforts will be made to ensure that the benefits of various government schemes reach the grassroots women. She also assured that efforts will be made at the government level to provide a suitable market for the products produced by women's self-help groups.
Gorhe said that it is necessary for the society and the government to work together for women's empowerment. Women need to come forward in education, business and social work, and the government has provided various facilities for this.
She appealed to women to take advantage of these opportunities and create their own identity.
