Shivakumar issues notice to Hussain over CM remarks

Bengaluru, July 1 (UNI) Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister and state Congress president DK Shivakumar today issued a disciplinary notice to party MLA Iqbal Hussain over remarks made to the media concerning a potential change in the state’s leadership.
The notice refers to Hussain’s recent comments speculating on a possible replacement of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
"A few days ago, you made statements to the media regarding the possible change of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. Your public statement to the media has caused embarrassment to the Congress party. The statement you made is also considered a violation of party discipline," the notice reads. Hussain has been asked to submit a written explanation within a week.
The move is seen as part of the party leadership’s effort to curb internal dissent and maintain organisational discipline amid reports of factional differences within the state unit. UNI BDN SSP

Hyderabad, July 1 (UNI) Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy today fired a salvo at former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) and Union Minister G Kishan Reddy, accusing them of playing ‘spoilsport’ in the protection of Telangana state interests in the utilisation of river Godavari and Krishna waters.
Participating in the powerpoint representation on the Banakacharla Project at Praja Bhavan here, Revanth Reddy accused KCR of being responsible for the present crisis in water sharing between AP and Telangana state.
