Patna, May 16 (UNI) The Bihar government has decided to increase the Dearness Allowance of the state employees by 2percent, pay Rs 50 lakh honorarium to the Martyrs of operation Sindoor, and to rename Gaya town as Gayaji.
The Cabinet in its meeting held here under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday gave its Green Signal to 69 agenda enlisted for the meeting. The cabinet approved a two percent increase in the DA of the state employees. With this, the DA of the state employees would increase to 55 percent from 53 percent.
The cabinet also decided to pay an honorarium of Rs 50 lakh to the Martyrs of operation Sindoor.
In the meeting it was also decided to change the name of Gaya town to Gayaji.
The cabinet has approved Rs 1 million 25 crore 95 lakh 23000 for the execution of Kisan salahkar scheme.
The kisan salahkar would get a fixed honorarium of Rs 13000 per month, and with Rs 1690 at the rate of 13 percent EPF benefit on the amount, they would have a total of Rs 14690.
The cabinet has sanctioned Rs 186 crore 15 lakh 52000 for the water supply scheme for Darbhanga and Rs 72 crore 44 lakh 65000 for Aurangabad.
The cabinet approved the handing over of land to establish Kendriya Vidyalay in Jiradei subdivision of Siwan, Chhapra, Buxar and Aurangabad.
