Telangana boosts industrial growth and urban development with key Initiatives

Hyderabad, Mar 13 (UNI) Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu highlighted Telangana's growing reputation in the IT and industrial sectors, crediting the state's proactive initiatives in securing investments and hosting summits.

Speaking at a pre-budget meeting held at Praja Bhavan, Begumpet, here on Wednesday, he emphasised the state's commitment to furthering economic development.

The Deputy CM instructed officials to ensure that Young India Integrated Residential Schools, a state government initiative, are managed by corporate companies under CSR funding. Officials explained that each corporate entity would oversee the management of one school to ensure effective operations.

Additionally, the Deputy CM announced that incentives for heavy industries would be released in phases. He reviewed the progress of mega and mini leather parks and urged officials to protect allocated land from encroachment. Expanding IT towers in tier-3 towns was also identified as a priority to foster regional economic growth.

Focusing on Hyderabad's development, Deputy CM Mallu emphasised accelerating infrastructure projects, particularly in light of growing migration driven by employment and investment opportunities. He underscored the need to improve road networks, electricity supply, and drinking water facilities to support urbanisation. He further stated that under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's leadership, municipal and urban development would receive significant budget allocations.

In the Energy Department meeting, Deputy CM Mallu stressed the importance of promoting green energy, reducing power supply costs, and ensuring uninterrupted power, particularly to safeguard crops during summer. He directed electricity officials to closely monitor the power supply as demand is expected to rise significantly in the coming months.

The meeting, attended by Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu and officials from various departments, addressed crucial development plans.

Key officials such as Special Chief Secretaries Ramakrishna Rao and Jayesh Ranjan, Municipal and Urban Development Principal Secretary Dana Kishore, Energy Department Principal Secretary Sandeep Mar Sultanya, Transco CMD Krishna Bhaskar, and Industries Department officials Vishnuvardhan Reddy and Metro Water Works MD Ashok Reddy participated in the meeting, an official statement said Wednesday night.
