Telangana CM directs Collectors to prioritise Bhu Bharati, Indiramma Houses

Hyderabad, Apr 14 (UNI) Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy conducted a high-level review meeting with district collectors, emphasising strict accountability in the implementation of key welfare initiatives, including the Bhu Bharati scheme, Indiramma Houses, and drinking water supply.
In a message to the administrative machinery, the Chief Minister warned that negligence on these critical issues would not be tolerated. He stressed the importance of preventing errors in the execution of government programs and directed collectors to have a comprehensive understanding of the Bhu Bharati Act.
To enhance awareness, CM Reddy instructed that collectors attend seminars on the Bhu Bharati Act in every Mandal of their respective districts. He further asked officials to simplify and communicate the provisions of the Act to the public.
Turning to housing, the Chief Minister mandated the selection of 3,500 beneficiaries for the Indiramma Housing Scheme in each assembly constituency. A special officer is to be appointed for every constituency to oversee the process, and the final list of beneficiaries must be approved by the district’s in-charge Minister.
On the issue of drinking water, CM Reddy called for the immediate implementation of a summer action plan across districts. He emphasized the need for contingency planning based on water availability and insisted on seamless coordination with the Irrigation Department to ensure uninterrupted water supply. “There should be no drinking water problem anywhere,” he reiterated.
The Chief Minister urged all collectors to work with commitment and precision to uphold the government’s mission of inclusive and efficient governance, an official statement said on Monday.
