Three children drown while taking bath in river in Auraiya

Auraiya (UP), May 1 (UNI) Three children, including two siblings, drowned while taking bath in Sengur river in Sadar area of Auraiya district here in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday, police sources said here.
Police sources said that Aryan (15) his brother Harsu (13) and Krishna (14) son of Veer Singh, all residents of Asvi village in Kanpur Dehat, studied in Awadhesh Singh Inter College located in the village. "While Aryan was a student of class 9 and Harsu and Krishna were students of class 8. They had a mathematics paper on Thursday," they said.
Police sources said that after giving the paper all three together came to bathe in Sengur river located near village Jaura in Auraiya district where, while bathing, they suddenly started drowning in deep water. "Sukhdevi who was already bathing there, saw the children drowning and informed the villagers about this," they said.
Police sources said that the villagers immediately reached the spot and entered the water and started searching for the children. "Meanwhile, on receiving the information, SDM Sadar, CO City Ashok Kumar, Kotwali in-charge Inspector Lalitesh Narayan Tripathi reached the spot with the police force," they said.
Police sources said that after an hour the villagers recovered the bodies of the three children Aryan, Harsh and Krishna. "Affected farmers will receive compensation within 24 hours to ensure swift relief and support," they said.
