Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty winds likely in North Coastal AP in next 5 days: Met

Hyderabad, June 20 (UNI) Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are likely to occur at isolated places in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam during the next five days, the Meteorological Centre said on Friday.



In a daily weather report here, it said that hot and humid conditions are likely at isolated places in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam during the next 48 hours.



Strong winds with a speed of 40-50 km/h are likely to occur at isolated places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Rayalaseema during the next five days.



Light to moderate rain or thunderstorms are likely to occur at a few places or at one or two places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam and Rayalaseema during the next seven days.



Rainfall occurred at one or two places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, and dry weather prevailed over Rayalaseema during the last 24 hours, the report added.

Nilambur by-election: 75 27 percent polling; counting of votes on June 23

Malappuram, Jun 20 (UNI) The Nilambur assembly by-election, held on June 19 recorded a voter turnout of 75.27 percent. Out of a total of 2,32,057 voters, 1,74,667 people reached the polling booth and exercised their right to vote. Out of 1,13,299 male voters, 81,007 exercised their franchise, while out of 1,18,750 female voters, 93,658 casted their vote.
