Amaravati, Mar 30 (UNI) Thunderstorm accompanied by lightning is likely to occur at isolated places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam and Rayalaseema on April 1, 2, and 3, Meteorological Centre said on Sunday.
In a daily weather report here, it said that light to moderate rain is likely to occur at isolated places in North Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam during the next seven days.
The same situation is likely to prevail in South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema from March 1 to 5.
Dry weather is likely to prevail in South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema during the next 48 hours.
Hot and humid conditions are likely to prevail at isolated places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the same period.
There is no large change in maximum temperatures in Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam and Rayalaseema during the next 48 hours, thereafter maximum temperatures are likely to be above normal by 2-3 degrees Celsius in Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam and Rayalaseema on April 1,2, and 3.
Saturday's trough from interior Odisha to Comorin area now runs from south Chhattisgarh to north interior Tamil Nadu across interior Maharashtra & interior Karnataka at 0.9 km above mean sea level.
Saturday’s upper air cyclonic circulation over central Chhattisgarh & neighbourhood has become less marked.
Rainfall occurred at one or two places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, and dry weather prevailed in Rayalaseema during the last 24 hours.
The highest maximum temperature of 42 degrees Celsius was recorded at Kurnool in Rayalaseema on Saturday, the report added.
