Lucknow, Apr 28 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Bhupendra Chaudhary on Monday condemned Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) president Naresh Tikait's statement Pahalgam terror attack and said that his statement is not only wrong but also advocates for Pakistan.
The state president said that while doing politics in the name of farmers, Tikait has now started advocating for terrorists. He said that the massacre in Pahalgam has exposed the Pakistan supporters sitting in India.
He said that the massacre of Hindus in Pahalgam is a direct attack on the identity and integrity of India, at such a time it is not appropriate to advocate for an enemy country when the entire opposition is with the decisions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Chuadhary said, "Questioning the policies and decisions of the central government in difficult circumstances does not suit Tikait."
He said that the entire country is hurt by the Pahalgam incident, but Tikait is worried about Pakistan. "Apart from being condemnable, this also raises questions on his patriotism," he said.
He appealed to Tikait to give up narrow politics by putting national interest first. "This controversial statement of Tikait has come at a time when the country is grappling with the pain of the Pahalgam massacre," he said.
