TIPRA Motha founder Tripura's royal scion announced to install ‘Raj Shasan’ in 2028

Agartala, Apr 4 (UNI) An open statement of BJP’s ally in Tripura government TIPRA Motha’s founder Pradyot Kishore Debbarman, addressing his party rally, announced that his party will form “Raj Shasan’ (King’s rule) in the state from 2028.
He said it would be established in the 2028 assembly election, provided the unity among the community is kept intact. He predicted that the 2028 assembly elections in Tripura would mark the beginning of “Tiprasa” rule (rule of tribal). Pradyot asserted that the TIPRA Motha party would cross the majority mark in the next assembly poll.
Despite being partners, BJP and Motha have been in a tussle over dominance in Autonomous District Council (ADC) areas and hills. The conflict among the leaders of both parties was aggravated recently over the Roman script for Kokborok (the local dialect), and the state government is reluctant to hold the village council election of ADC for two years after the high court’s direction.

Shillong, Apr 10 (UNI) Search and rescue team on Thursday found the body of Puskas Zsolt, a Hungarian national who went missing in Meghalaya since March 29, police said.
The search and rescue, which comprised Meghalaya Police, rescue teams, Home Guards, and local residents, found the body at Ramdait village on the way to Tyrna in Shella under the Sohra Civil Sub-Division in East Khasi Hills district.
