Tirupati: Colorful Pushpa Yagam held in Kodandarama Swamy temple

Tirupati, May 3 (UNI) The Pushpayaga Mahotsavam was held on Saturday in a grand manner at the Sri Kodandarama Swamy Temple here on Saturday.
As part of this, earlier during the day, Snapana Tirumanjanam to Kodandarama Swamy along with Sri Seetha Devi and Lakshmana Swamy was performed.
Later in the evening, from 4 pm to 6 pm, the Pushpayagam was held in the Unjal Mandapam of the temple amidst the chanting of Vedic mantras by the priests.
A total of 3 tonnes of flowers were offered to the utsava deities, including 12 types of flowers and six types of leaves.
Donors from the states of Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka donated these traditional and ornamental flowers.
The devotees were enthralled by the visual grandeur of this flower festival. Pushpayagam is usually observed as a sin-free ritual.
Deputy EO B. Nagaratna, Garden Deputy Director Srinivasulu, AEO Sri Ravi, Superintendent and other officials and a large number of devotees participated in this program.
