TN: Customs officials seize electronic goods from passenger at Madurai airport

Madurai (Tamil Nadu), Mar 25 (UNI) The officers of Air Intelligence Unit (AIU) of Customs department seized smuggled electronic goods worth Rs 11.64 lakhs from a passenger at Madurai airport on Tuesday.
Tiruchirapalli Customs (Preventive) Commissionerate in a post on X, said based on specific information, the officers of AIU, Madurai airport intercepted a passenger arrived from Dubai in a SpiceJet flight and on examination of his checked-in-baggage, the electronic goods including five laptops and drones worth Rs 11,64,000 were recovered.
Further investigation is under process, it added.
