Madurai (Tamil Nadu), Mar 16 (UNI) Three persons, including a 17-year-old boy, were arrested in a train at Madurai railway junction on Sundayfor smuggling eight kg Ganja from West Bengal.

Police said suspicious Government Railway Police (GRP) questioned the trio, identified as Ajith Kumar (22), David Raja (21) and the minor who were travelling in the Purulia-Tirunelveli super fast express, when the train was crossing Dindigul railway station.

Investigation revealed that the trio was travelling from Bishnupur to Virudhunagar without train tickets. Upon checking their baggage, the GRP personnel seized eight kg Ganja from them.

The GRP arrested them and seized the narcotic substance when the train arrived at Madurai railway junction. Further investigation was on. UNI GSM SSP
