Moradabad (UP), May 11 (UNI) Train traffic on Delhi-Lucknow route of Moradabad Railway Division was disrupted for about half an hour when a goods train suddenly split into two parts on reaching the Ramganga river bridge on Sunday, a senior railway officer said.

Moradabad Railway Division Manager (DRM) Rajkumar Singh said that a goods train was running on the run-through when suddenly an animal collided with it and the operating handle went up. "Due to technical fault, the train got decoupled, which was recoupled with the help of the loco pilot and assistant loco pilot and the train could move towards its destination," he said.

Railway sources said that when the coupling of the goods train going from Bihar to Moradabad suddenly broke, due to technical fault, the engine of the train moved ahead with some front coaches, while the rest of the wagons including the guard's coach remained standing on the bridge of Ramganga river.

Sources said that the station master and the technical team immediately reached the spot, rectified the technical fault in the train's coupling and after connecting the engine and wagons, sent it towards the railway station.
