Tripura assembly witnesses noisy scene over CPI-M’s boycott

Agartala, March 27 (UNI) The Tripura assembly on Thursday witnessed a noisy scene after opposition Congress MLAs demanded the Speaker's intervention in calling the principal opposition, CPI-M, back to the house, who had announced to boycott the remaining business of the ongoing budget session.
After question hour, Congress MLA Gopal Chandra Roy raised the issue and asked, "It’s not looking good that a house is going on without the principal opposition. Although the Chief Minister appealed, I must urge the Speaker to intervene in the matter to resolve the fiasco.”
Accusing Speaker Biswabandhu Sen of resorting to partisan roles in conducting business and acting as a BJP man, Roy said CPI-M announced a boycott of the assembly session, and the Speaker must bring them back to uphold the dignity of the assembly.
