Bulandshahr (UP), Apr 28 (UNI) Two bogies of a goods train derailed at Khurja Junction railway station of Bulandshahr district here in Uttar Pradesh, after which an inquiry has been ordered, a senior railway officer said here on Monday.
Senior Divisional Signal and Telecom Engineer (Sr DSET) Anil Kumar said that the incident took place late on Sunday night when the goods train from Tundla Junction stopped at Khurja Junction railway station at 12:45 on the Delhi-Howrah railway section.
He said that during this, two bogies of the goods train derailed. "The goods train was going from Tundla to Delhi. The Railway Department has taken this seriously. A committee of senior supervisors has been constituted, and whoever is found guilty of negligence will be punished," he said.
The Senior DSET said that as soon as the information about the accident was received, senior railway officials and employees reached the spot. "Technical officers and employees are busy repairing the railway line and bogies. Orders have been issued to inquire into the incident," he said.
