UN launches 275-mln-USD appeal for Myanmar's earthquake response

United Nations, Apr 11 (UNI) The United Nations and its partners on Friday launched an appeal worth 275 million U.S. dollars to support Myanmar's response to the devastating earthquakes.
The fund is an addendum to the 2025 Humanitarian Needs and Response Plan to reach 1.1 million people with urgent aid and assistance, Stephane Dujarric, spokesman for the UN secretary-general, said at a daily briefing.
UN agencies, with its partners, have rapidly mobilized aid, including medical care, shelter, water, and food, to help people affected.
