Union Min Mansukh Mandaviya visits RGNIYD, interacts with faculty, students

Chennai, May 10 (UNI) Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya
visited the Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD) at Sriperumbudur,
about 40 km from here, on Friday.
A PIB release this evening said during his visit, Dr Mansukh Mandaviya interacted with faculty
and staff, appreciating the RGNIYD’s efforts in empowering youth through education, skill
development, and sports initiatives.
He delivered an insightful address to students, staff and faculty, emphasizing the importance
of preparing young individuals for future leadership, entrepreneurship, and employment
opportunities that contribute to the vision of Viksit Bharat—a developed India.
The Minister toured the RGNIYD campus, reviewed various programs designed to support
youth growth, research, training, and policy development.
He praised the institute’s dedication to fostering innovation, leadership, and employment
readiness among young minds, reaffirming the Government’s commitment to youth-centric
initiatives.
His visit marks a significant step in strengthening RGNIYD’s mission to equip students with
the knowledge and skills required to build a progressive and empowered India and contribute
to make India a developed country @ 2047.

CBI conducts raids 42 locations in 8 States against transnational organised cybercimes,

Chennai, May 10 (UNI) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Saturday
conducted searches at 42 locations in eight states and arrested five people
under ongoing Operation Chakra-V against Transnational Organised
Cybercrime/Digital Arrest and to crackdown on sales of unauthorized SIM
cards used in Cybercrime.
In continuation of ongoing efforts to curb Cybercrime/digital arrest cases as part
of Operation Chakra –V, CBI launched searches at multiple locations on premise
of various Point of Sale Agents of Telecom Operators, allegedly acting in connivance
with Cybercrime criminals and unknown executive of Telecom Service providers in
issuing SIMs cards which are subsequently used in illegal activities involving digital
arrest, impersonation, fraudulent advertisement, investment fraud, UPI frauds, etc.
