Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar criticises Congress over Muslims adding to BC list

Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar criticises Congress over Muslims adding to BC list

Nalgonda, Feb 9 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar lashed out at the Congress government, accusing it of attempting to include Muslims in the Backward Classes (BC) list and failing to fulfill election promises.
Speaking at an MLC election workshop held at the BJP district office in Nalgonda, he called on BC groups and Hindutva activists to resist what he described as a conspiracy to undermine the interests of BCs.
Bandi Sanjay questioned the logic behind including Muslims in the BC category, warning that such a move would lead to their political dominance in remote areas of the state. He criticised BC organizations for their silence on the matter and urged all Hindus, including BCs, to unite against the Congress government.
Accusing the Congress and BRS of secretly working together, he alleged that the two parties had struck a deal to prevent the BJP’s victory in the MLC elections.
He claimed that Congress was protecting BRS leaders embroiled in corruption cases in exchange for political support. He challenged the BRS party to explain why it had not fielded a candidate in the elections if there was no hidden agreement between the two parties.
Bandi Sanjay targeted the Congress government for its failure to fulfill key promises made during the elections. He alleged that the government had not provided the promised Rs 4,000 monthly unemployment allowance for the past 14 months, amounting to Rs 56,000 per unemployed individual.
He criticised the government's failure to deliver on its promise of creating two lakh jobs, pointing out that only 25,000 notifications had been issued.
Additionally, he highlighted the unfulfilled promise of distributing free scooties to women graduates and providing Rs 5 lakh assurance cards to students. He expressed concern over the pending fee reimbursements, which he said had led to college closures and prevented students from obtaining their certificates.
The minister further accused the Congress government of neglecting the education sector, stating that schools lacked essential resources, infrastructure, and administrative oversight. He criticized the government for failing to implement the Second PRC report and delaying the release of Dearness Allowances (DAs) for employees.
He also raised concerns about the financial hardships faced by retired teachers and government employees since March 2023, alleging that their rightful benefits had not been disbursed.
Bandi Sanjay alleged that the Congress government had manipulated the caste census to reduce the BC population figures. He pointed out that the previous SKS survey conducted under KCR’s government had recorded a 51 percent BC population, whereas the current government had altered the data to undermine BC representation.
Urging graduates and teachers to question Congress leaders on their unfulfilled promises, he called on voters to reject the party in the upcoming MLC elections.
