UP Tourism bags second prize for best public sector stall in Jaipur travel mart

Lucknow, May 10 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Tourism has secured the second prize in the Best Public Sector Stall category at the prestigious Great Indian Travel Bazaar (GITB) 2025, held in Jaipur, the UP Tourism and Culture Minister said on Saturday.
The Minister said that the event saw enthusiastic participation from a large number of domestic and international tour operators, hospitality professionals and tourism experts.
He extended his heartfelt congratulations to the department, commending the team for effectively showcasing UP's rich cultural heritage, historic landmarks, spiritual destinations, traditional crafts and authentic cuisine.
"The UP pavilion provided visitors not only with insights into the state's iconic tourist attractions but also offered demonstrations of local craftsmanship and artistic processes, allowing guests to connect deeply with the culture of the state," he said.
Highlighting the importance of such platforms, Singh said that events like GITB open up new avenues for collaboration and investment in the tourism sector. He said that the cultural diversity, spiritual significance and historical depth of UP left a strong impression on both domestic and foreign tour operators who visited the stall.
Reaffirming the state government’s commitment to tourism development, he emphasised that UP continues to prioritise tourism as a key sector and recognitions like this further strengthen the state's resolve to boost tourism initiatives and experiences. He expressed confidence that participation in GITB 2025 will give fresh momentum to tourism activities in the state.
