Uttarakhand Women's Commission condemns Nainital minor rape case, demands bulldozer action

Nainital, May 1 (UNI) The Uttarakhand State Women's Commission has strongly condemned the sexual exploitation of a minor in Nainital on Thursday and demanded strict action against the perpetrator.

The Commission chairperson Kusum Kandwal emphasized the need for concrete steps against such depraved mentality and demanded the harshest punishment for the accused.

She spoke to the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) and demanded stringent punitive action.

Kandwal stated that she would personally discuss the matter with the Chief Minister and demand that the case be tried in a fast-track court to ensure swift and severe punishment for the accused.

She also demanded bulldozer action against the accused's property.

The Commission Chairperson assured that the State Women's Commission stands with the victim and announced that Commission member Urmila Joshi would soon meet the victim and her family to provide all possible assistance in securing justice.

Kandwal emphasized that such depraved individuals have no place in society and deserve capital punishment.
