Water sharing row: Punjab Guv. summons Special Legislative Assembly session May 5

Chandigarh, May 2 (UNI) Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria on Friday summoned a special session of the state Assembly on May 5 amidst the water sharing row with Haryana/
The House will meet for the special session at 11 am on May 5, when the government is likely to table resolution on the water issue, sources said.
The Bhakra Beas Management Board’s move to release 8,500 cusecs of water to Haryana from the Bhakra dam despite objections from Punjab Chief Minister B S Maan has led to an escalation of the conflict between the state's 's Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government and the Centre. UNI GS SSP
