Will take action against industrial units violating rules: Maha Minister

Mumbai, Mar 21 (UNI) Maharashtra Environment and Climate Change Minister Pankaja Munde on Friday warned of action against industrial projects which were violating rules
She was replying to s question in this regard raised by NCP member Sana Malik in the Legislative Council.
Munde said new rules have been implemented in respect of the RNC plant as well. According to this rule the plant should be enclosed so that dust pollution is avoided. Other measures have been mandated, including planting trees in five-meter-wide strips, concrete or tarmac roads to prevent dust, and installation of sprinklers.
The Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) conducts regular inspection of permitted industrial units. A show cause notice is issued to them regarding the errors found in this inspection, she said.
An inquiry and inspection will be conducted in accordance with the issues raised by member Sana Malik regarding the industrial sector in Anushakti Nagar constituency.
