Won't let funds for Gharkul under PMAY to decrease: Maha minister

Mumbai, Mar 26 (UNI) Rural Development Minister Jayakumar Gore said in the Maharashtra Assembly on Wednesday that the dream of owning a house of rural people will be realised through the ambitious Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) and assured that this scheme will never be allowed to suffer due to lack of funds.
Replying to a question raised by member Gajanan Lovete in this regard in the lower house, he said that the first installment is given to the beneficiaries within 30 days after approval of the house under this scheme.
Gore also said that there was a demand of 54,898 houses under PMAY in Amravati district, out of which 50,997 houses have been sanctioned and added that the waiting list of houses under PMAY was decreasing.
