Youth beaten to death in Baghpat, one arrested

Baghpat (UP), Apr 30 (UNI) A youth was beaten to death with sticks allegedly over an affair in Binauli area of Baghpat district here in Uttar Pradesh, a senior police officer said on Wednesday.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Suraj Kumar Rai said that Anil, a resident of Etawah village of Muzaffarnagar district, had come to his brother-in-law's village in Mukimpura village under Binauli police station, where he was murdered on Tuesday night. "On receiving the information, the police reached the village and brought Anil's body to Binauli CHC," he said.
He said several marks of blunt injury were found on the head of the deceased and blood was also flowing from the nose. "Injury marks were also found on the face. An affair is said to be the reason behind the murder. It is being alleged that the girl's relatives killed the youth by hitting him on the head with a stick," he said.
Inspector Shiv Dutt said the youth died after being hit on the head with a stick over some issue. "The reason behind the incident is being investigated as a love affair," he said.
SP Rai said the arrested accused has been identified as Arvind. He said that Anil was pressuring his daughter for marriage. UNI XC AB SSP
