‘Kahin nahi jayenge Modi’: union minister Arjun Meghwal sings on harmonium; joins BJP chorus

New Delhi, Nov 4 (UNI) It is now union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal who has joined the BJP’s growing “Modi kahin nahi jaayenge” chorus. In a video that he himself posted on X, Meghwal can be seen playing the harmonium while singing, “Kahin nahi jaayenge Modi, kahin nahi jaayenge Modi” (Modi will not go anywhere, Modi will not go anywhere) almost in a devotional style.
“Jayenge wo log jinhone apni saakh kho di,” Meghwal sang, meaning that “it is those who have lost their credibility who will have to go.”
The video also features pictures of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He is not the only one. Public renditions by party leaders Manoj Tiwari and Parvesh Sahib Singh using the phrase following Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge’s “Modi ka baap bhi jaayega” remark recently went viral on social media.
During his recent visit to Gujarat, Prime Minister Modi said he will continue to serve the people of India till his last breath. During the same visit in his roadshow, people were also seen holding posters along both sides of his convoy’s route bearing the slogan, “Modi is not going anywhere”.
Addressing a gathering in the presence of the Prime Minister, Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi also said that the Prime Minister enjoys the love and support of 1.4 billion Indians and is “not going anywhere.”

The BJP has a history of turning opposition criticism into mass campaign slogans; for instance, the most successful rebranding of PM Modi came with the ‘chaiwala’ comment in 2014. It was followed by the ‘Main bhi chowkidar’ campaign in 2019, which party leaders wore as a badge of honour to directly appeal to voters.
The ‘Mainbhi chowkidar’ campaign also allowed the BJP to shift public attention away from prevailing issues such as the economy, unemployment and inflation, and refocus the conversation on its most popular face, PM Modi, in the run up to the crucial Lok Sabha elections that year.
Over the last decade, opposition jibes, especially from the Congress, have inadvertently handed the BJP some of its biggest and most successful slogans and campaigns.
This time it is Kharge’s ‘Modi ka baap bhi jaayega’ retort in response to an audience member’s comment that “the Prime Minister will not go anywhere” at a Congress party event.
