‘Sangamarmar’ trailer showcases timeless romance and family bonds

New Delhi, Feb 18 (UNI) The trailer for the much-anticipated multi-generational family drama ‘Sangamarmar’ has been unveiled, offering an emotionally charged preview of love, family bonds, ambition, and the life-changing decisions that shape destinies.
The series stars Sheen Savita Dass and Sourabh Raaj Jain in lead roles, alongside Smita Bansal, Khalid Siddiqui, Farooq Saeed, Swati Tarar, Jaya Ojha, and Avinash Wadhwani in key parts.
Produced by Rajshri Productions (P) Ltd, the series is directed by Vikram Ghai. According to the makers, ‘Sangamarmar’ traces a story of “love, family, and the choices that shape lives over time.”
The trailer introduces two parallel timelines spanning 25 years and follows the journey of Amrita, a woman whose life is transformed by a single, defining decision. At a crucial crossroads, Amrita chooses family responsibility over her personal dreams and a blossoming romance with Aditya.
What begins as youthful love gradually unfolds into a poignant tale of sacrifice, resilience, and silent endurance. Despite years of separation, their bond remains steadfast and enduring.
Speaking about the series, Sooraj Barjatya said the story reflects the realities of families many people can relate to. He described it as a narrative about love, misunderstandings, patience, and the effort required to sustain relationships.
“The core of the show is patience and how time can both test and heal bonds,” he shared, adding that collaborating with Jio Studios and JioHotstar has been a rewarding experience in bringing the story to audiences with authenticity.
Lead actor Sheen Savita Dass described Amrita as the emotional centre of the narrative. She explained that much of the story revolves around Amrita’s choices and the weight of responsibility she carries.
Dass noted that portraying a woman who repeatedly prioritizes family over personal happiness required her to deeply understand the character’s silences, compromises, and quiet strength. She also expressed gratitude for working with Sooraj Barjatya, calling it a significant milestone in her career.
Sourabh Raaj Jain, who plays Aditya, said the series stands out for its emotional honesty. He described the story as one about enduring love, a love that remains patient and committed even when circumstances change. Jain also shared his excitement about collaborating with Sooraj Barjatya for the first time.
Smita Bansal, who portrays Vasudha, highlighted her character’s role as the emotional backbone of the family. Though her presence in the series is brief, Vasudha’s influence shapes Amrita’s values and life choices. Bansal noted that the show beautifully captures the lasting impact of a mother’s love across generations.
‘Sangamarmar’ is set to premiere on February 26, on JioHotstar, with new episodes releasing every Thursday.
