The story behind recurring yellow in Sooraj Barjatya’s films

Mumbai, Nov 4 (UNI) From romantic songs to family celebrations, yellow has made frequent appearances in Sooraj Barjatya’s films, becoming something of a visual signature.
The choice is believed to stem from a personal preference: the filmmaker’s wife is particularly fond of the colour, which over the years has become a familiar element of his films.
Recently, actress Sharvari Wagh appeared in a yellow saree in the romantic song "Sawan Aaya Hai" from the film "Yeh Prem Mol Liya." This has once again brought the prominent presence of yellow in Barjatya's films into the spotlight.
In the film "Maine Pyar Kiya," Bhagyashree embodied the innocence and effortless charm of Suman's character in a yellow ensemble. Her bright yellow suit remains a memorable one for audiences even today.
Madhuri Dixit's playful style and graceful expressions, dressed in a yellow ensemble, in the song "Maye Ni Maye" from the film "Hum Aapke Hain Koun...!" were well-received by audiences. Her look as Nisha became one of the film's most memorable scenes.
Similarly, Tabu, Sonali Bendre, and Karisma Kapoor also appeared in traditional yellow outfits in the film "Hum Saath Saath Hain." The three actresses' distinct styles added to the film's beauty and colour.
Kareena Kapoor Khan wore a yellow saree in the song "Kasam Ki Kasam" from the film "Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon." Her bubbly style and graceful expressions made this look memorable.
Amrita Rao's simple yellow outfit in the song "Do Anjaane Ajnabi" from the film "Vivah" beautifully depicts the blossoming love between Poonam and Prem. Meanwhile, Sonam Kapoor's regal take on traditional yellow in the film "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo."
