‘We are all party workers’: Dhanda calls for stronger BJP base, welfare outreach

Panchkula, Oct 23 (UNI) Haryana Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda, on Friday, said ministers and legislators must remain active as BJP workers, strengthen the party’s public support and ensure that the government’s welfare policies reach people at the grassroots.
Speaking to reporters after attending a meeting chaired by Haryana BJP in-charge Smriti Irani, Dhanda said the discussions focused on energising workers and reinforcing their organisational responsibilities.
“Whether someone is a minister, the Chief Minister or an MLA, when we work for the party, we are all party workers,” he said.
Dhanda said following the organisation’s directions and working towards its expansion were responsibilities shared by all members of the party cadre, including those holding public office.
“We are ministers and legislators, but we are also part of the party’s cadre. Every worker has a responsibility to expand the party and strengthen its public base,” he said.
The minister said public representatives had an additional responsibility, as members of the government, to ensure that its welfare policies reached people at the lowest level.
He said organisational work and communication of the government’s welfare initiatives were among the subjects discussed with the party’s state in-charge and co-in-charge.
Dhanda described the meeting as important for motivating workers and providing direction for their efforts to strengthen the organisation and its connection with the public.
“It was a very effective meeting, and it will produce results,” he said.
