15-year-old caught driving car with red-blue beacon in Panchkula;

Panchkula, Sep 30 (UNI) Haryana Police caught a 15-year-old Class 10 student driving a car fitted with a red-blue beacon and black film on windows in Panchkula and impounded the vehicle after issuing challans totalling Rs 37,500, a police spokesperson said on Wednesday.
The minor was driving the vehicle wearing his school uniform. Two other minor boys, also in school uniforms, were travelling in the car. The vehicle was intercepted at Sector 12-A after the Traffic Police noticed the red-blue light and signalled the driver to stop. Police said the driver initially tried to move ahead instead of stopping, following which the traffic official intercepted the vehicle and informed the City Traffic Police Station.
Subsequent verification revealed that the driver was 15 years old and studying in Class 10, the spokesperson said. Impounding the vehicle, police issued challans totalling Rs 37,500 for the violations, including a Rs 5,000 fine on the parents for allowing a minor to drive.
