BJP begins two-day Punjab poll strategy meet in Panchkula

Panchkula, Oct 1 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday began a two-day organisational meeting in Panchkula to review its preparedness and chalk out strategy for the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections.
The meeting, being held at the Red Bishop in Sector 1, is being led by BJP national general secretary (organisation) B.L. Santosh and is attended by senior Punjab BJP functionaries, district presidents and other organisational leaders.
The deliberations focus on strengthening the party organisation at the grassroots, assessing its presence across Punjab, and gathering feedback from district-level leaders ahead of the Assembly elections.
Punjab BJP president Kewal Singh Dhillon said the meeting would also review the response to the party's recently concluded anti-drug outreach campaign.
“The meeting will take stock of the response and success of the public outreach we conducted on the issue of drugs and will also discuss the strategy for the Punjab elections, due next year,” Dhillon said.
The BJP is also expected to assess its organisational strength, particularly in rural Punjab, and identify constituencies where it believes it can strengthen its electoral position.
The meeting comes a day after the culmination of the BJP's 13-day anti-drug campaign, which covered all 117 Assembly constituencies in Punjab. The deliberations will continue on Friday.
