About 20 passengers injured in two state transport bus collision

Kolhapur, Sindhudurg, June 30 (UNI) In an awful incident, about 20 passengers were seriously injured in a head-on collision between two state transport buses, which incident occurred at Panval on the Banda-Fida road in Sindhudurg district this morning.

According to police, on a sharp turn, a Banda-Fukeri bus vigorously collided head-on with a Usmababad-Panaji bus following a brake failure of the Fukeri-bound bus, which dragged the opposite bus 100 feet ahead.

In this incident about 20 passengers from both buses were injured and admitted to Banda Primary Hospital for medical treatment.

Police are investigating further.
