The bulletin, which presents average air quality over the preceding 24 hours, showed significant variations across Delhi and neighbouring areas of Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. PM2.5, fine particulate matter that can penetrate deep into the respiratory system, was the prominent pollutant in several locations reporting poor and very poor air quality.

The figures indicate that air quality conditions differed considerably across Haryana, with Sonipat, Ballabgarh and Kurukshetra reporting poor air quality while several other locations remained in the moderate or satisfactory categories.
Delhi’s Outer North area recorded an AQI of 191, classified as ‘Moderate’, with PM2.5 and PM10 identified as the prominent pollutants.
