Allahabad HC to hear Meerut murder convict's plea on Dec 14

Prayagraj, Nov 5 (UNI) The Allahabad High Court has admitted the petitions filed by a death row convict in connection with the murder of Amit Kashyap in Meerut. The court has fixed December 14 as the next date of hearing in the case.
The hearing was held before a division bench of Justices Salil Kumar Rai and Padma Narayan Mishra.
An appeal has been filed in the Allahabad High Court against the death sentence and the conviction.
Death row convicts Ravita and Amardeep filed the petition through their lawyers. Advocates Adesh Kumar and Barkha Chaudhary appeared on their behalf.
The convicts have appealed for the sentence to be set aside. On October 16, the Meerut court sentenced both to death.
