Ambassador of France calls on spiritual leader Matha Amritanandamayi Devi

Kollam (Kerala), June 24 (UNI) Ambassador of France to India Dr Thierry Mathou called on spiritual leader Matha Amritanandamayi Devi, popularly known as Amma, at Amritapuri Ashram here on Tuesday.
"In an inspiring joining of hands, ties between the French Embassy in India and Amrita institutions have strengthened. His Excellency M. Thierry Mathou, Ambassador of France, visited Amritapuri to meet with Amma," the Ashram said in a message on X.
Describing it as “a promising prospect”, he signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the French Embassy and Amrita Hospital, Faridabad, laying the foundation for collaborations in the fields of health, education, and social outreach.
"The Ambassador also met with French nationals residing at the Ashram and expressed his admiration and appreciation for their dedication and contributions to Amma’s humanitarian initiatives," it added.
