AP: 24 red sander logs seized, one smuggler arrested

Tirupati, June 28 (UNI) The Red Sander Anti-Smuggling Task Force (RSASTF) seized 24 red sander logs while being transported illegally and arrested one smuggler at Srinivasa Mangapuram.

DSP G Balireddy told the media that a task force team conducted checking of vehicles on the Rangampet-Srinivasa Mangapuram road. They stopped a car for checking. The occupants of the car got off the car and started fleeing away. However, the task force personnel chased and apprehended one of them. The task force personnel found 24 red sander logs in the car worth Rs 20 lakh.

The arrested smuggler belongs to Tamil Nadu state. The seized red sander logs were shifted to the task force police station and preserved. Task force Rafi registered a case.
