Kurnool, May 17 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has announced that the free bus service for women will be launched on August 15, 2025.

The Chief Minister participated in the Swarna Andhra–Swachh Andhra program in Panyam constituency of Kurnool district. After visiting the C-Camp Rythu Bazaar, he interacted with farmers and sanitation workers.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister called for collective participation in achieving the goal of Swachh Andhra and urged everyone to work unitedly to protect the environment.

He emphasized that during TDP rule, factionalism was uprooted from Rayalaseema and assured that such violence will not be allowed to return. He stated that the government is bringing industries to Rayalaseema, generating extensive employment opportunities, and transforming the region into a green energy hub. He also announced free bus travel for women from August 15.

“Our goal is to make Andhra Pradesh a net-zero state environmentally. The previous government left 8.5 million metric tonnes of garbage in urban areas. I have instructed Minister Narayana to clear all waste by October 2. So far, 5.5 million tonnes have been removed,” the Chief Minister noted.

“NDA is a people’s government. We’re ensuring welfare for all eligible citizens while also attracting major investments into the state. We’ve already brought in 76 projects worth ₹4.96 lakh crore, which will generate 4.51 lakh employment opportunities," he acknowledged.

“We will ensure MSP for farmers and make agriculture profitable. We’ll provide solar lighting and free rooftop solar power to SC and ST households," he observed. The Chief Minister laid the foundation for horticulture development works worth ₹50 lakh and released Rs 50 crore for road development in the Panyam constituency.
