AP: Minister Subhash inaugurates Mega Blood donation camp

Kakinada, June 15 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Minister for Labour, Vasamsetti Subhash, inaugurated a mega blood donation camp at the Balusu kalyana mandapam in Ramachandrapuram town on Sunday.
Complimenting the `Cheyutha’ voluntary organization and its founder Mondi Ravikumar for organizing the mega camp, he said providing of one lakh insurance to the blood donors was really commendable.
He also praised the Cheyutha team for collecting as many as 36,000 units of blood so far for the Thalassemia patients.
The minister said since the organization was founded in 2017 enlisting the support of government employees, teachers and youth, free food was being provided to the pregnant women patients and their assistants in Pithapuram government hospital.
It was heartening to note that the Cheyutha has adopted 60 children and taken the responsibility of nurturing and educating them till they secure employment.
Cheyutha also helped 48 patients for their medical treatment and for six children for heart operation and bone marrow operation.
The Cheyutha organization is a role model and needs to be emulated, the minister added.
Later, the minister distributed nutritious diet kits to 40 children infected by HIV.
State BC Employees Welfare Association president Guttula Virabrahmam, Rotary blood bank Medical officer Kamaraju were among those attended.
