AP: Three killed, two injured as car rammed into stationary lorry

Kakinada, May 17(UNI) Three persons were killed on the spot and two others injured when the car in which they were traveling went out of control and rammed into a stationary lorry on the national highway near Velampeta in Tuni Mandal 55 km from here, in the early hours of Saturday, police said.

All five inmates of the ill-fated car are marketing executives of Apollo Pharmacy and returning from Visakhapatnam to Rajahmundry after attending a conference.

The Tuni rural police, who registered a case shifted the bodies to the government hospital at Tuni for postmortem.

The injured were admitted to Apollo Hospital at Kakinada where their condition is stated to be critical.

The names of the deceased were given as Shaik Hazarat Ali ,Geddam Ramaraju and Varadi Sudheer - all from Rajahmundry.

Further investigation is on.
