AP: TTD Trust Board decides to transfer or VRS non-Hindu people working in TTD

Tirumala, May 20 (UNI) The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Trust Board, which manages world famous richest Tirumala Venkateswara temple, in its meeting, on Tuesday decided to transfer of non-Hindu people working at TTD.
Briefing to media after the board meeting held under the Chairmanship of B R Naidu, TTD Executive officer J Syamala Rao said the board has given its nod to take steps towards the transfer people belonging to other faiths working at TTD through alternative ways or by giving them VRS (voluntary retirement scheme).
To a question, he declined to reveal the exact number of non-Hindu employees working at TTD.
According to sources, the move will affect around 300 of the Board’s 7,000 permanent employees.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had earlier stated that only Hindus should be employed at
the Tirumala Temple.
Naidu mentioned that if people from other communities are currently working there, they will be relocated
without disrespecting their sentiments.
The Board also took the decision to use anti-drone technology keeping in mind the security aspect of Tirumala
temple.
