Kishan Reddy slams Kharge’s remarks on ‘Operation Sindoor’

Hyderabad/New Delhi, May 20 (UNI) Union Minister G Kishan Reddy strongly criticised Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge for describing 'Operation Sindoor' as a "small war", calling the statement a deliberate attempt to belittle the bravery and might of the Indian Armed Forces.
In a post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Reddy said Kharge’s comments were malicious and disrespectful to the sacrifices and achievements of the military.
Reddy questioned whether the destruction of nine terrorist camps in Pakistan, the demolition of 11 Pakistan Army military bases, and the neutralisation of 20 percent of Pakistan’s military infrastructure could be considered minor acts.
He further emphasised the significance of destroying state-of-the-art military radar and missile defence systems developed by China, as well as the successful deployment of missiles developed by Indian scientists during the operation.
He asserted that Pakistan was compelled to seek de-escalation following the severe blow it suffered, which he described as a clear indicator of the operation’s success.
Reddy expressed disbelief that while the entire world, including India, was celebrating the achievements of 'Operation Sindoor', leaders of the Congress party seemed visibly upset.
Accusing the Congress of having neglected the strengthening of the armed forces during its tenure in power, Reddy said the party now continues to display an inability to appreciate the successes of the Indian military. He stated that this attitude reflects what he described as the “bankrupt mentality and mental disorder” of the Congress leadership.
