Arms recovered in Manipur

Imphal, June 8 (UNI) Arms and ammunition were recovered in three separate operations during the last 24 hours, Manipur Police said on Sunday.
Two country-made Single Barrel Rifle, one Radio Set along with Battery, one BP Jacket Cover etc were recovered from the general area of Dampi Hills, approximately 3.5 km south-east under Churachandpur-PS, in Churachandpur District.
In another operation one .303 Rifle with magazine, two12 Bore Single Barrel Gun, two 51 mm Mortar, one 75 mm Mortar, one 50 mm Heavy Calibre launcher with bipod, one 30 mm Heavy Calibre launcher, Pompi Gun, six Hand Grenade with four detonators and four arming rings, four Lathode shell, IED weighing about 2.5 kg, etc were recovered from Itham Uyok Hill and its adjoining foothill areas under Thoubal Dam-PS, Imphal East District.
In yet another operation, two pistols along with magazines were recovered from Kadangband Part-I under Lamsang-PS, Imphal West District.
